The following text is not a historical study. It is a retelling of the witness’s life story based on the memories recorded in the interview. The story was processed by external collaborators of the Memory of Nations. In some cases, the short biography draws on documents made available by the Security Forces Archives, State District Archives, National Archives, or other institutions. These are used merely to complement the witness’s testimony. The referenced pages of such files are saved in the Documents section.

PhDr. Alenka Schauerová (* 1936)

• narozena 29. května 1936 v Brně

• otec František Ryšánek za války působil v Obraně národa

• roku 1941 otec zatčen a vězněn gestapem, zemřel 23. května 1943 v Osvětimi

• pamětnice bombardování a osvobozování Brna

• bratr Milan Ryšánek po únoru 1948 vězněn a následně poslán k PTP

• v 50. letech vystudovala pedagogické gymnázium, pracovala jako učitelka

• v letech 1962 až 1967 si doplnila vysokoškolské vzdělání na brněnské Univerzitě J. E. Purkyně

• signatářka manifestu Dva tisíce slov

• po sametové revoluci zastávala funkci náměstkyně primátora Brna za Občanské fórum
