Hana Bubníková, née Machatová, first married Bohušovská, was born in Brno on 31 July 1938 as the twin sister of Jiřina Langová. Having finished primary school, she joined the conservatory. She played sports since childhood - first swimming and diving, then rhythmics. She and her sister witnessed the early days of artistic gymnastics in our country and were among its most successful representatives. While gymnastics made her famous, she appreciated more their ballet career in the ballet group of the State Theatre in Brno she joined following the conservatory. In artistic gymnastics, she was among the world’s top, winning medals, and like her sister, she won a national champion title. The sisters’ lives were intertwined both in the sports and the professional fields. After finishing her sport and ballet career, she worked as a coach, teacher, and referee. She lived in Brno in 2021.
