The Invisible Victims of Communism

The project “Invisible Victims of Communism” was started by a team of students and teachers of the F. X. Šalda grammar school in Liberec in 2003. The project has been very successful in attracting the support of outstanding personalities of public life in the Czech Republic and among Czech compatriots living abroad. The project also received extensive media coverage. The project’s main aim is to research the destinies of Czechoslovaks who went into exile to Canada in the second half of the 20th century. In 2007, the focus of the project was broadened to include Australia as well as Canada.
