Hana Konečná was born on 24 August 1943 in Prague. In the summer of 1968, she and her husband by train to France, incidentally without their two small children. While in Paris, they learned of the invasion of Czechoslovakia by Warsaw Pact troops. They visited the Czechoslovak embassy to ascertain the seriousness of the situation. In the end, they decided to continue their journey to discover France. Before returning to Czechoslovakia, they spent their last night in a student hostel in Paris with several Czechoslovaks who had emigrated from the country. The couple agreed to deliver several postcards and letters, which they did upon their return to Prague. After 1989, the witness started a business. At the time of the interview (2016), Hana Konečná was living in Prague.
