She had to leave the army because of her husband
Jurina Slaninová was born on February 9, 1930 in Uhorská Ves, Slovakia. She also attended an elementary school there. She then moved to Bratislava with her parents and three siblings. In 1950, she joined the Czechoslovak People’s Army in Bohemia and never returned to Slovakia. She served in the Air Force. She left the army only after 1968, because of her husband’s views on the occupation by Warsaw Pact troops. She married twice. In 2023, she lived in Opočné.
